VH1 Divas 2012: Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Ciara & More to Perform + Adam Lambert to Host

VH1 DIVAS is right around the corner, and this year, the show isn’t your typical DIVAS show with the power-house vocalists you’d expect… kind of.

According to VH1.com , this year’s show is being promoted as DIVAS Dance Party and will feature performances from Ciara , Miley Cyrus , Demi Lovato , Kelly Rowland and Jordin Sparks .

The show will also feature special and memorable tributes to the late legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summer and will be hosted by Adam Lambert , who can be considered a Diva himself ( Elton John did it, so why not Glambert ?).

The show will be airing live on Sunday, December 16 at 9PM EST/8 CST from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

While I like and love all of these artists, I would appreciate it if Kelly Rowland and Jordin Sparks handle the tributes to Whitney Houston and Donna Summer . Miley Cyrus has a nice voice, but her accent will make it difficult to compete with the soul Whitney and Donna gave their respected hits.

I do think that Demi could be a contender for singing one of their songs, but sometimes she tends to over sing at times and Ciara ‘s voice just isn’t strong enough to cover them at all. Thoughts?
