Miguel, Cher, Ed Sheeran & Ryan Tedder to Assist Coaches on ‘The Voice’ Season 5

The fifth season of the hit NBC show The Voice is right around the corner and it looks like more big names have been added to the season.

Before I share the other big name celebrities, I think it’s fair to tell you guys that Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will be returning to their respective seats alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton .

It has also been announced that Cher, Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder , and Miguel have been tapped to help Voice coaches guide their respective teams during the season.

Cher, who will be releasing her 26th album, Closer to the Truth , on September 24th, will serve as an adviser to Blake Shelton, with Ed Sheeran working with Christina Aguilera.

Ryan Tedder will be a part of team Adam and Miguel will work with Cee Lo Green’s team. Take a look at what president of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment, Paul Telegdy had to say below:

“This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams. I know Christina, Adam, Cee Lo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard.”

Over the four seasons, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Pharrell Williams, Joel Madden, Taylor Swift , and Sheryl Crow are just a few of the artists who served as mentors on the show.

Season 5 of The Voice is set to premiere on Monday, September 23, 2013 on NBC, with Carson Daly returning as the show’s host.

The Blind Auditions were taped from July 9 to July 12, with the Battle rounds being taped on August 13 and 14, and the he knockouts were taped the following week on August 22 and 23.
