Last week, rapper Talib Kweli premiered the music video for his Raekwon -assisted “Violations” on MTV.com .
Fans quickly voiced discontent with the censored visual, and the rapper released the uncensored version on Youtube, which is “completely un-edited” and includes “the censored shots of weed and gun gestures.”
Directed by R.A. The Rugged Man , the clip depicts the two rap legends as criminals who’ve been arrested for “smuggling and bootlegging” and “false pretenses and conspiracy.”
The Thaddeus Dixon -produced track appears on Talib’s acclaimed sixth solo studio album, Gravitas , which debuted December 15, 2013 via Javotti Media.
The LP also features Abby Dobson, Gary Clark Jr., Big K.R.I.T., Raekwon, The Underachievers, Black Thought, Rah Digga and Mike Posner , with production from Oh No, Khrysis, Statik Selektah, Rich Kidd and J Dilla among others.
