Tinie Tempah & Laura Mvula to Open the 2014 BAFTA Film Awards

The 2014 EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA Awards) will open with a duet by multi-platinum-selling rapper Tinie Tempah and MOBO Award winning songstress Laura Mvula on February 16th.

The duo is expected to hit the stage to perform their latest collaboration “Heroes,” from Tempah’s album Demonstration .

“As an internationally renowned British institution, it’s a huge honor to be performing there [at the British Academy film awards],” Tempah said. “This song was inspired by film scores and theme songs so I’m looking forward to showcasing what British music has to offer in front of the world’s film industry elite.”

“It’s definitely a bit scary when I think about who will be there but we’re going to put everything into the performance and it’s a big song so it really lends itself to film,” Mvula added.

Hosted once again by actor Stephen Fry , the ceremony will take place at The Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden on February 16th. It will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One in the U.K. and in all major territories around the world.
