Just as expected, Nicki Minaj (who deleted her Twitter account tonight) debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with her 2nd studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded . The album’s sales totaled 253,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan . That’s a slightly better-than-expected sales figure, as industry sources had suggested that the album was on course for a launch somewhere in the 215,000 to 235,000 range.

Though this gives Nicki her first #1 album, the album sold less than her 2010 debut album Pink Friday , which managed to reach #2 with a total of 375,000.

Last week’s #1, Madonna ‘s MDNA , fell drastically from #1 to #8, with a total of 48,000 after its strong 359,000 debut. The album becomes the biggest sales fall since Lady Gaga’s Born This Way fell 84.27% in its 2nd week on the chart dated June 18, 2011. Born This Way debuted on the chart with 1.11 million and then sold just a total of 174,000 in its 2nd week.

Making a strong debut is Rascal Flatts ‘ 8th studio album Changed at the #3 spot with a total of 130,000 copies, while Adele still holds the #2 spot with an additional 153,000 sold. Lionel Richie ‘s Tuskegee falls to #4 with 95,000, and One Direction ‘s Up All Night moved up from #6 to #5 with 92,000. Take a look at the top 50 list below!
