CumbiaSazo , Chicago’s sporadic and nomadic cumbia and tropical bass gathering, will return from hibernation on Saturday, March 29th, at the legendary Double Door (on two floors).
Blending vintage and electronic rhythms of Latin America as well as other worldly and bass-heavy music, the party will feature guest performances and DJ sets by Lido Pimienta (with live band), iBomba ‘s Ushka and DJ Beto , Sonorama , Peoples DJs ‘ La Perla and DJ Dime , New Life , Soulphonetics , and Dario X .
The MC Zulu -hosted event will be complete live visuals by Calixta and art curated by Amara Betty Martin .
Part of proceeds will benefit the Latino Union/Domestic Workers Organizing Committee , Fearless Undocumented Alliance , and United Students Against Sweatshops . Support the cause!
