Damian “Jr Gong” Marley has premiered a brand new, first-time collaboration with fellow reggae star Sean Paul titled, “Riot.”
The explosive electro-reggae/dancehall tune features rapid-fire social commentary from both artists, a rarity for Sean Paul.
Produced by HardWork , the dubstep-tinged track is book-ended by a mix of samples from Johnny Clarke ‘s 1989 single “ Don’t Trouble Trouble “ and the bass-grinding dub mix of that song, King Tubby ‘s “ Special Brew .”
I first heard the track via UK-based Heatwave and expect it to be a massive hit at this weeks’s Notting Hill Carnival in London. Enjoy below.
