Brooklyn // ‘Middle of Nowhere’ Film Sneak Peek at BAM | Oct. 9

On October 9th, BAM Cafe will host a special sneak peak of Ava DuVernay’s award-winning fim, Middle of Nowhere. A discussion with the director and others on art, Black cinema, and more will follow. The film won the Directing Award for U.S. Dramatic Film at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival (first ever won by an African American).

‘Precious’ director Lee Daniels caused quite a stir at the Cannes Film Festival this Spring with his sexually and racially charged new film, ‘The Paperboy.’ Starring Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, David Oyelow and Macy Gray, the film will hit U.S. theaters on October 5th and exclusive new clips are beginning to surface!
