Watch: Don Omar’s “Taboo” Brings Brazil to ‘Fast Five’

If you’ve recently gone to see Fast Five in theaters, you probably heard Reggaeton artist Don Omar’s “Taboo,” the 3rd single from his compilation album Meet the Orphans. Adapted from Kaoma’s 1989 hit “Lambada,” it is now #3 on the Billboard’s Tropical Songs list.

The minute you tell me that Jill Scott has a new song my eyes widen and a few snippets of my favorite Jill songs speed through my brain. “Shame,” which features Eve — a femcee we’ve been wanting to hear something new from for a while, premiered on stupiddope.com — one of my favorite sites. As I read into the background on the track, it was described as able to “bring rays of sunshine.”

Recently, we voiced how disappointing Kanye West’s “All of the Lights” video is. “6 foot, 7 foot,” which happens to also be directed by Hype Williams, seems to follow a trend of his… videos full of unrelated concepts and total disconnection throughout. Apparently Lil’ Wayne and Hype decided to do the lamest job possible in using the movie Inception as their inspiration for this video.

The video for Kanye West’s “All of the Lights,” directed by Hype Williams, looks like several totally unrelated concepts that never really do tie together for the viewer. However each concept is individually very strong especially with the use of beautiful erratic typography and effects.
