“Oscar had always been a designer I’d known and admired,” he says. “It’s that sort of woman who’s always appealed to me: a very feminine woman, a very refined level of sophistication. She’s a rich woman in terms of texture, embroideries mixed with print—you just have to get the doses right. So there’s definitely scope for me to grow, which is important as a designer.”
