Lensed by Steven Klein in Versailles, she poses seductively in a fur-vest-and-gloves ensemble with the Diorama bag, shows off a blazing red lip and nail color combo in a black sequin top with a leather jacket, sunglasses and handbags, and runs through the Hall of Mirrors in a flowing red gown.
The campaign will consist of print ads that are scheduled to run this spring and a film. Watch below.
The nighttime-shot clip includes a new song, “Only If for a Night,” from Rihanna’s upcoming album.
“In this short movie, [Rihanna] knew how to work with Versailles,” said Dior chief executive officer Sidney Toledano. “She has this kind of elegance — we saw it from the very first moment — and then she can surprise. She can be unexpected and we like it. It’s part of this personality.”
The Bajan pop star is the first black woman to front the French house.
“[She is] a goddess but accessible,” Toledano continued. “The way she moves is part of the young generation.”
