Janelle Monáe Performing “Yoga” on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’

Janelle Monáe and her Wondaland artist Jidenna stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform their new summer jam, “ Yoga ,” on Monday evening. Backed by The Roots , she and her dancers turned the stage into a party.

Part serenity and part turn-up, the song hails from The Eephus , the debut EP from Janelle’s own music label Wondaland Records.

Out sometime this month, the five-track project is led by Jidenna’s “ Classic Man ,” which now sits at #89 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Eephus will also include tracks by Roman GianArthur , Deep Cotton , and St. Beauty .

Released on March 31, 2015, “Yoga” has peaked at #14 on Hot R&B Songs, #13 on R&B Digital Songs, #37 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs, and #4 on Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop.

A music video directed by Dave Meyers and choreographed by Fatima Robinson premiered in April.

The song was first performed on American Idol ‘s season finale last week.
