SundanceTV’s ‘The Red Road’ to Become Graphic Novel, ‘1990’
Starring Martin Henderson (Off the Map) and Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), The Red Road focuses on the volatile tensions between people in-and-outside of a newly state-recognized Native American tribe living in the Ramapo Mountains between New York and New Jersey.
1990 will take us back 25 years to when the show’s key characters were just teens: Harold Jensen (played by Henderson), before he became a good-intentioned officer; Jean Rogers (Julianne Nicholson), prior to the death of her brother Brian triggering her schizophrenia; and Phillip Kopus (Momoa), before he follows in his father’s criminal footsteps.
Now in its second season, the series also stars Allie Gonino and Annalise Basso as Harold and Jean’s daughters Rachel and Kate, Tamara Tunie as Phillip’s mother Marie Van Der Veen, Kiowa Gordon as Marie’s adopted son Junior Van Der Veen, Tom Sizemore as Phillip’s father Jack Kopus, and Lisa Bonet as tribal lawyer Sky Van Der Veen.
