Nneka Covers New African Woman April/May 2015

Nigerian/German hip-hop/soul singer-songwriter Nneka graces three covers of the April/May 2015 issue of London-based New African Woman magazine.

As the covers promise, we truly see the 34-year-old “Uncomfortable Truth” singer as we haven’t seen her before.

Lensed by photographer Dami Oyetade , Nneka looks beautiful wearing Xhosa-inspired knitwear by South African-based MaXhosa by Laduma , as well as pieces from Qulit , Choolips , Soboye , Dionne Gooding , Youjia Jin , and Yifang Wan .

In her interview, she talks about her fifth studio album, My Fairy Tales , which released March 2, 2015. The project is her first independent release on her own label Bushqueen Music.

She also opens up about growing up in Nigeria and empowering women.
