#TGIT: Shonda Rhimes’ Thursday TV Takeover Starts With A Bang
This week Fall TV premieres proved to be worth the wait! From Sleepy Hollow to black-ish to Key & Peele and Shonda Thursdays, I’m exhausted and already excited for next week’s episodes.
And speaking of Shonda Rhimes, whose triple drama TV-reign is dubbed #TGIT (Thank God It’s Thursday), Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and newcomer How to Get Away with Murder all paid off well for ABC on Thursday.
Grey’s Anatomy‘s 11th season premiere kicked things off at 8:00 pm with 10.1 million viewers and a 3.1 rating among Adults 18-49.
Scandal followed with a Season 4 premiere at 9:00 pm that earned 12.2 million viewers and a 3.9 rating.
Written and created by Pete Nowalk, How to Get Away with Murder is up 33% from last year’s Scandal season opener, making September 25th ABC’s biggest Thursday night in five years.
