Listen: Jazmine Sullivan’s Emotional New Single “Forever Don’t Last”
Jazmine Sullivan pours out raw emotions in a vocally powerful second single, “Forever Don’t Last.”
“We turn into three long years / And it became painfully clear that we will never see those days again,” she sings of an expired relationship over acoustic guitar.
The 27-year-old soul singer describes the song as the most personal from her forthcoming album, Reality Show. The LP’s first single is “Dumb,” which features rapper Meek Mill.
“I’m basically crying on that song. It’s a ballad, and that’s classic Jazmine. It’s a letting-go song which is why it’s so personal. I feel like I came to a point in my relationship where [I needed] to let go and move on. I just had to do it.”
Reality Show is rumored to feature production from Key Wane, Salaam Remi Girl on Fire, Da Internz and Joe Gallagher.
