As we anticipate the release of Jhené Aiko‘s Def Jam debut, she premieres a smooth new single titled The Pressure.”

The song is expected to appear on the L.A. songstress’ first studio album, Souled Out, which is scheduled to drop on August 25th September 9th.

“Have you seen my fucks to give? / I have none, I cannot live with… The pressure,” she gently sings over the Fisticuffs-produced track.

In addition to the Fisticuffs, the album will feature production from No I.D., Key Wane, James Fauntleroy, and Dot Da Genius.

And though not yet confirmed, rappers Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock may make appearances on the album.

The set is preceded by its Cocaine 80s-assisted lead single “To Love & Die” and two EPs, 2011’s Sailing Soul(s) and 2013’s Sail Out, which debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 chart and peaked at #2 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

To support Souled Out, Jhené will join The Weeknd‘s King Of The Fall Tour alongside ScHoolboy Q, which will kick off at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Get tickets at ticketmaster.com.
