L.A. songstress Jhené Aiko has enlisted Cocaine 80s for her first single, To Love and Die ,” from her long-awaited Def Jam debut, Souled Out .

“Where I’m from / We live by the love / Die by the Love,” she sings backed by James Fauntleroy ‘s vocals in the chorus. “We live for the love / Die for the Love / Yea I live for you love / Die for you love…”

She unveiled a snippet of the Fisticuffs -produced song via Instagram on Monday. Soon after, DJ Pup Dawg got his hands on the full track and it hit iTunes at midnight . Take a listen to the tagged version below.

“To Love and Die” and the forthcoming Souled Out are preceded by Jhené’s acclaimed Sailing Soul(s) (2011) and Sail Out (2013) EPs.

Debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Sail Out produced three singles 3:16AM ,” “ Bed Peace and The Worst .”

In 2013, she also assisted Big Sean ‘s single Beware ,” alongside Lil Wayne , which became her first Top 40 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Though Souled Out ‘s estimated release date, May 2014, has clearly passed, let’s hope we can get the album before summer’s end.
