When I drove in a thunderstorm to get Usher‘s then new album Looking 4 Myself back in June of 2012 I was expecting a great album, nothing on the level of Confessions but on par with 8701 and Raymond Vs. Raymond. All I got was a waste of my mother’s gas, a waste of $20, and five songs that I liked out of 18.

Well it seems that Usher realizes that his last album wasn’t up to snuff. So in between working on his film Hands of Stone and a coaching gig on The Voice, the R&B superstar has been in the studio preparing on his eighth album, which is set to be released late summer/early fall of this year.

To help get fans ready for the record, Usher has announced the first single, Good Kisser, which is set to hit iTunes on May 5 with the official video being released the same day.

The track is co-written by Usher along with Andrew “Pop” Wansel, Ronald “Flip” Colson, Jameel Roberts, Terry “Tru” Sneed, and Warren “Oak” Felder, and produced by Pop, Flip, JProof, Tru, Natural, and Oak.

As far as the album goes, Usher has been working with Rico Love, Jermaine Dupri, Mike WiLL Made It, and Pharrell Williams, just to name a few. Take a look at the video’s teasers below:
