Watch: The Making of “Hero” by Frank Ocean, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon & Diplo

Converse takes us behind the scenes of the making of “Hero,” the latest creative collaboration between singer-songwriter Frank Ocean, punk legends Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash, and acclaimed producer Diplo.

Featuring additional vocals from the West Los Angeles Children’s Choir, the track was created as part of Converse Music‘s Three Artists. One Song series.

“I was a little nervous ’cause we did four songs,” Diplo revealed before sending the track over to Frank. “And actually of them are crazy. Like one of them is super electronic; one of them is really like heavy; one of them, we just freaked out one night, it was Tuesday and we just did a pop thing.”

The song has landed a home-run with the artists’ varying fans, especially those of Frank Ocean, who hasn’t released any new music since “Super Rich Kids” from his debut album, Channel Orange.
