ScHoolboy Q’s “Break The Bank” Music Video

ScHoolboy Q pairs his eerie Alchemist -produced “ Break The Bank “ with gritty new visuals directed by Jason Goldwatch .

Emitting a strong 90s hip-hop vibe, the song serves as the fourth single from his third studio album and major label debut, Oxymoron , out February 25th via Top Dawg Entertainment and Interscope Records.

Starring his 4-year-old daughter Joy Hanley , the video takes us to the 27-year-old rapper’s hometown of Los Angeles, California as he reminisces: “Lost one of my cuzzos, cursed from them devils / Good weed and me time, goodbye to Nissan / Cause one day this rappin’ gon’ pay.”

Written by ScHoolboy Q , Alchemist , and Sounwave (member of TDE’s Digi+Phonics ), “Break The Bank” has peaked at #32 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The song and album are preceded by singles “Yay Yay,” “Collard Greens,” featuring Kendrick Lamar and “Man of the Year.”

“Collard Greens” peaked at #92 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, #28 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and #9 on US Heatseekers Songs, while “Man of the Year” entered at #81 on the same chart, becoming his highest-charting single on that chart.

The album also features 2 Chainz, Snoop Dogg, A$AP Rocky, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Danny Brown, Tyler, The Creator, Action Bronson , and Raekwon , with production by J. Cole , Pharrell Williams , and Tae Beast (Digi+Phonics).

Oxymoron will be supported by an international tour , set to take place from March 1 to June 1, 2014 across North America and Europe.
