Prince protégé and New Power Generation vocalist Liv Warfield has unleashed her sophomore album The Unexpected and a fierce title track, written by the legend himself.

Serving as the executive producer for the set, which debuted February 18th, Prince also co-wrote another song on the album titled, “Your Show.”

Liv’s dynamic vocals on a guitar-laden “The Unexpected” draw you in during lows and take total command at their most powerful.

Like a bee to some honey, moth to a flame /
You’ve got an addiction, and you’ve got me to blame/
You never saw it coming, and I’ve made no claim until now…”

Blurring lines between soul, blues and rock, The Unexpected is preceded by singles “Catch Me If You Can” and “Why Do You Lie.”

Liv will be celebrating the album’s release on Wednesday, February 19th at Mister H. (lounge inside the Mondrian Soho) in New York City. Get details here.
