Oscar nominee Lupita Nyong’o gave her tear-jerking acceptance speech at the 2014 Critics’ Choice Awards, which took place Thursday, January 16th.

In response to winning Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave she said being apart of the film was the “one of the most profound experiences” of her life.

The 30-year-old Hollywood and fashion “it girl” also won praise for dazzling the red carpet yet again, this time in a peek-a-boo bright white Calvin Klein gown.

In addition to the Critics’ Choice award and an Oscar nod, Lupita’s role as Patsey has been nominated over 70 awards including a Golden Globe — which was won by Jennifer Lawrence, Screen Actors Guild (Jan. 18), and BAFTA (Feb. 16). She has also won the New Hollywood Award at the 17th Hollywood Film Awards.
