TLC ’20′ Official Album Cover
This year serves as the 20th anniversary of R&B/Pop/Hip Hop female girl group TLC . In celebration of their feat, the remaining members of the group, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas are gearing up for the release of their upcoming compilation album 20 .
Set to be released on October 15th, the album will consist of 13 of the group’s biggest hits, including their #1 singles “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs” and “Unpretty.”
Also featured on the album will be a two new songs, including the one we’re pleased to share with you today: “ Meant to Be .”
The song was written by R&B singer Ne-Yo and serves as the theme song for their highly-anticipated TV biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story , which will premiere on VH1 on October 21st. The other new song will be the Lady Gaga and Dallas Austin-penned “Posh Life.”

What I love about the song is that it’s classic TLC, but current with today’s music. If the tragic loss of Left Eye never happened and if the girls were still making music, this would be the sound that they’d have.
And while it may seem out of tune with the current music of today, it would be everything that 90′s R&B fans wished for. Both ladies sound great and T-Boz vocals especially manage to grab you instantly.
