Ebony Magazine has dedicated its September 2013 issue to the memory of Trayvon Martin and the spirit of moving forward with four poignant new covers.
The first cover features Martin’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin along with his older brother Jahvaris Fulton . The other symbolic covers feature celebrity dads Spike Lee, Boris Kodjoe , and Dwyane Wade who pose with their sons in grey hoodies.
Ebony is one of many outlets seeking to facilitate on-going conversation about racial bias, next steps, and education on “stand your ground” laws following the Zimmerman verdict.
