Beyoncé Channels Joyce Bryant (“The Black Marilyn Monroe”) With Short New Do

Debuting her most dramatic hair change ever Beyoncé has ditched the add-ons (for now) for a sexy short haircut reminiscent of 1950s cabaret and nightclub sensation, Joyce Bryant aka the “Bronze Blonde Bombshell” aka “Black Marilyn Monroe.”

I’ve been waiting for Queen Bey to embrace something other than the big, fierce lion mane of blonde curls for a while, and I’m sure the reveal to fans feels quite liberating.

Though Joyce was more a platinum blonde and never received the amount of recognition as peers Eartha Kitt and Lena Horne , it’s fun to be able revisit her memory via Beyoncé’s new look.
