Floyd v. City of New York may have closed on May 21, 2013, but a decision from the judge is still pending, and the NYPD and its controversial Stop and Frisk policy are still on trial.

To keep the conversation going, rapper Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) has released a public service announcement titled “Don’t Tread on Me.”

Highlighting the harmful impact of the racist and unconstitutional scare tactic, the PSA incorporates facts and audio/visuals from VideoNation’s “ The Hunted and the Hated ” short doc, which included a shocking secretly recorded encounter one teen had with police in 2012 and confessions from officers who are pressured to make a certain amount of stop and frisks.
