The sultry Sofia Vergara graces the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine ‘s June 2013 issue , available now on newsstands.

Inside, she speaks on marriage plans, surrogacy rumors, and more.

Though most recognized for her sex appeal, the Modern Family star is the highest paid woman in television, sitting atop a growing $19 million dollar empire that includes a Cover Girl endorsement, and her own bedding, clothing and accessory lines.

A cancer survivor , she is also the face of a new campaign, Follow the Script , which promotes screening for thyroid disease and encourages those who have it to play an active role in their treatment.

For her Cosmo feature titled “La Vida Sofia,” the 40-year-old Colombiana (who could have easily taken the #1 spot in People’s 2013 Most Beautiful — but God forbid they pick a woman of color three years in a row) is photographed by Matthias Vriens-Mcgrath .

Styled by Elizabeth Stewart , Sofia keeps it sexy yet simple, wearing fitted tanks, curve-hugging pencil skirts, and pumps.

On if she’s close to setting a wedding date:

“He was already married with a big wedding and I was already married with a big wedding, so we’re going to do something but not right now. When he proposed, it was my birthday, and I’d flown more than 100 family and friends to Mexico for six days of partying. It took me forever to arrange the logistics! If I had known I was going to get engaged, I don’t do this stupid birthday.”

On surrogacy rumors:

“Well… I froze my eggs. I had to go to my doctor’s office a hundred million times to do injections. The [rumor] probably came from that. My doctor had told me, ‘We have a small window.’ I said, ‘That’s so rude!’ I already have a kid, so I never thought I would need to do that. But I will have to use a surrogate, because I had thyroid cancer and lots of radiation. I don’t want to wait forever, but not yet, because I’m working like an animal.”

On when she feels sexiest:

“On a beach vacation. I just started wearing one-piece bathing suits, and my cousins in Colombia said, ‘Why are you wearing a onepiece?’ I said, ‘You see who looks better in the pictures!’ Of course, it was me, because I looked perfect with the one-piece all together. Now they are all calling and saying, ‘Tell us where you got it. We don’t even know where to get a fucking one-piece.'”

On her inspirations:

“Sophia Loren, because she is voluptuous and classy and has her own style. And in business, I am obsessed with the CEO of Yahoo, Marissa Mayer. She is 37 years old and accepted the job when she was pregnant. And I think she is hot.”
