‘Iron Man 3’ Makes Second-Biggest Debut Ever with $175 M

To almost no one’s surprise, Iron Man 3 has struck gold for Marvel Studios and Disney at the box office this weekend!

Called the most entertaining of any Marvel film by ShadowAndAct , the third installment of the superhero series brought in $175.3 million, making it the second-largest debut in the U.S. behind The Avengers .

This brings the Shane Black -directed feature’s total to $680.1 million following a $504.8 million international debut, which passes Iron Man 2 ‘s $312 million international total. See this weekend’s full box office below:
