Diddy and FunnyOrDie spoof “Downton Abbey’ with #DowntonDiddy

Diddy ‘s announcement that he’d be starring on PBS ‘ British period drama series Downton Abbey caused quite a stir this week.

Though quickly refuted by the network, the mogul/prankster teamed up with FunnyOrDie.com to prove that he, not actor Gary Carr , is the show’s first Black character.

Titled Downton Diddy , he plays Lord Wilcott, the new owner of “DownTOWN” Abbey, who finds himself in quite the love conundrum, struggling to play cricket, frustrated with the war (World War I), and generally oblivious to how much he stands out. Enjoy the very funny clip below!

Carr, the show’s actual first Black character , will play jazz singer Jack Ross in the series’ fourth season. Filming for season 4 began in February, and will air in the fall in the UK and January 2014 in the US.

As for Diddy’s real acting roles, he will star alongside Kevin Costner and 42’s Chadwick Boseman in NFL drama film, Draft Day .
