It’s no secret that Beyoncé is a fan of R&B newcomer Luke James, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to her fans about the diva has chosen him as the opening act for the European leg of The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which officially kicked off on earlier this week in Belgrade, Serbia.

Luke is set to officially join the tour beginning April 24th in Paris, France, and will do his last set on May 29th in Stockholm, Sweden.

Take a look at what Mrs. Carter had to say about the New Orleans based singer below:

“Luke James is a gifted singer and songwriter and what he does on stage with his pure falsetto is incredible. I am excited to have him join the tour and to introduce this soulful singer to an audience in Europe that will be discovering a true star.”

The soulful crooner served as her opening act for all of her shows at Revel in Atlantic City last summer, and also made an appearance in her video for “Run the World (Girls),” the official lead single from her fourth studio album ‘4,’ which was released in the summer of 2011.

Take a look at what he had to say about joining Beyoncé once more:

“It is such an unimaginable honor to be sharing the light yet again with Beyoncé on her sold out Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. This is a blessing that I do not take lightly. Thank you, Beyoncé.”

Luke has been in the studio working on his debut studio album Made to Love, which is expected to be released within the next few months.

He is also prepping to dive into the world of acting in the upcoming film Black Nativity co-starring Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson, and Mary J. Blige. Take a look at his dates with Beyoncé below:
