Eargasm: The Weeknd x Tinashe – “What a Boss Needs” (JAYBeatz Mashup)

Mmm, some serious ear candy! Someone finally realized that a Weeknd / Tinashe mashup was due and stepped up to the challenge.

North Carolina-based producer JAYBeatz cleverly blends a couple of the moodiest tracks from the two hipster R&B newcomers: Weeknd’s Jeremy Rose -produced “ What You Need “ and Tinashe’s feisty Legacy -produced “Boss,” with a little bit of Aaliyah ‘s “Rock The Boat” to top off the delicious mix.

The track appears on JAYBeatz ‘s brilliant High Volume Mashups: Vol. I, an 8-track compilation of remixes that feature Chris Brown, Jhené Aiko, Rihanna, Frank Ocean, Juicy J, JoJo, Drake , and Justin Bieber — just to name a few.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting a chance to feature Tinashe after hearing Ryan Hemsworth ‘s “Boss” remix and becoming immediately hooked. The original song is from the sultry RCA Records newbie’s first mixtape, In Case We Die , which released February 1, 2012.

Now currently promoting her second mixtape, Reverie , which dropped September 6, 2012, Tinashe ‘s set to release her debut solo album in 2013. Hopefully, that means we can hear a real collab between the 19-year-old songstress and Mr. Tesfaye very soon.
