Disclosure’s PDA-Filled Official Music Video for “Latch”

I’m usually not one to aimless click around Youtube, especially when I’m not familiar with what I’m about to watch. But something compelled me to do so today, as I stumbled upon the latest video for “ Latch ,” an infectious garage/house tune from British producer duo, Disclosure (brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence ).

Incorporating a little pop into an old school house feel, “Latch” features robust vocals from UK crooner Sam Smith .

“Now I’ve got you in my space, I won’t let go of you
I’ve got you shackled in my embrace, I’m latching on to you.”

The song entered UK Singles chart at #26 on October 14, 2012, where it peaked at #11, and also reached #3 on the UK Dance chart.

It will appear on Disclosure ‘s full-length debut album, Settle , which is preceded by EPs: Carnival , (July 2011), Tenderly / Flow , (February 2012), and Face (July 2012).

Directed by Ross McDowell and Ben Murray ( Bullion Collective ), the track’s amorous visuals include scenes of various couples (straight, lesbian and gay) who can’t keep their hands off of each other, engaging in both public and private displays of affection.
