Anderson Cooper’s ‘Anderson Live’ to End Summer 2013

Anderson Cooper’s Talk Show Won’t Return for a Third Season

I had a feeling that this would happen, and I’m honestly sad that it did — the current season of Anderson Cooper‘s show Anderson Live will be its last.

The series, which recently underwent a creative makeover including a name change from just plain Anderson, will end its run next summer due to low ratings.

There’s no need to fret though, the reporter will still continue to host his show Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN. Take a look at what he had to say about the cancellation below:

“I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it.”

I’ve been a fan of Mr. Cooper since early 2008 and I even consider him as one of the people I look up to in the world of journalism.

This is really unfortunate to be because I really think it’s a quality show, even though the revamp for this season seemed as more of a mistake, it still had great potential. Well at least I still have Ellen, thoughts?
