Justin Bieber makes an enemy of the wrong girl’s father in his new video for “As Long As You Love Me,” which features rapper Big Sean (one of my favs at this moment).
In this Anthony Mandler -directed visual, the pop artist finds himself in love with a young lady played by actress Chanel Celaya , at the displeasure of her father, played by Reservoir Dogs / Kill Bill bad guy Michael Madsen .
In this modern Romeo and Juliet meets mafia-style beat-down saga, the young Romeo ultimately ends up bloody and bruised… and Chanel -less.
“As Long As You Love Me” serves as the official second single from his third studio album Believe ( iTunes / Amazon ), which was released in June and has so far went on to sale over 640,000 copies to date. The song was written by Rodney Jerkins , Tyler McGowen , Andre Lindal , Nasri Atweh , Sean Anderson and Bieber , and was released on June 11, 2012 as a promotional single from the album.
Incorporating elements of R&B, hip-hop and a little dubstep, I instantly became addicted to it and I really like the video as well. To me, it’s the best video of his career and I’m sure with enough views, and word of mouth, it can help Justin get his first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Enjoy the video below and tell us what you think!
