Inspired by the Roma — modern-day gypsies who have faced years of persecution throughout Europe, particularly in Italy – Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci was drawn to the aesthetic of their nomadic lives.

Exuding confidence and elegance, the collection boasts sheared mink jackets with trailing trains that have been laser-cut to make the fur looks almost like lace. The caramel-colored gowns are decorated with wool, leather-covered buttons and coral-hued crystals.

Black velvet stitched into a bodysuit is adorned with rich jet-beaded embroidery and topped with a cloak that is lavishly embellished with coral beadwork.

Photographed by Belgian photographer Willy Vanderperre , the clothes are worn by 10 models of color: Joan Smalls, Lea T, Ajak Deng, Roberta Narciso, Liya Kebede, Daniela Braga, Grace Bol, Cora Emmanuel, Grace Mahary , and Lakshmi Menon , who stand against a wooded backdrop who radiate strength, romance and sensuality.
