Rihanna Finally Chooses “Where Have You Been” as Album Single
Oh my brownies, “Where Have You Been” will be a single from Rihanna‘s 6th studio album Talk That Talk!!!!! The song will follow the lukewarm reception of “You Da One” and “Talk That Talk” featuring Jay-Z, as well as the controversial “Birthday Cake,” which features Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
Hi-Hat, who’s the choreographer and artistic director for The Voice, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and more, took to her official Twitter page and tweeted that yesterday was the 1st day of rehearsals for the “Where Have You Been” video.
Written by Ester Dean, Lukasz Gottwald, Calvin Harris, Henry Walter and Geoff Mack, and produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut, and Calvin Harris, the song is a mix of Euro-dance, electro-house, and dance-pop, with slight R&B and hip-hop influences.
I’m very happy and quite excited that this was chosen as a single! “Where Have You Been” is one of my favorite songs on the Talk That Talk album. The beat, the composition and the lyrics just all work together to create this fun song. I hope the video delivers! If you haven’t heard the song, check it out below:
