Jhené Aiko Reminds Us That She’s Underrated w/ New “My Mine” Video
This is the second single from Aiko‘s Spring 2011 mixtape, .sailing soul(s). to receive visuals. For “My Mine,” produced by the Fisticuffs, Jhené is blurred by shame and crushed with regret over
some asshole a lover — who in the video leaves her alone in her wedding dress.
Channeling her lyrical content from past experiences, it’s apparent that she—like many of us have that one who is both absent yet won’t go away.
This song is one of my favorites from .sailing soul(s). (okay which one isn’t my favorite?), so I’m hoping it’s just a matter of time before Jhené‘s upcoming EP soul(ed) out. drops. Enjoy the video for “My Mine” below.
