It’s been 5 long years of waiting for Grammy Award winning Goth-rock band Evanescence to return from hiatus. They’ve released their self-titled 3rd studio album on October 11th, 2011.

It’s been 5 long years of waiting for Grammy Award winning Goth-rock band Evanescence to return from hiatus. They’ve finally released their self-titled 3rd studio album (iTunes /Amazon) and the anticipation for this project has been brewing since lead vocalist Amy Lee‘s announcement of new material in 2009.

“What You Want,” the album’s first single released in August and is available now on iTunes. It’s not the most impressive effort but tracks like “The Other Side” provide some hope that Evanescence was worth the wait.
